This week was all about the Erie Canal ride (390 miles from Buffalo to Albany NY), but I planned to keep up at least a little running. Sort of a break for my legs, at least a break from running. Each morning I got up at 5 and was on the trail by 515. After the run, I'd break down my tent, load up my gear, get a bite to eat and then get on the bike. Rides ranged from 48 miles to 74, but the 74 was by my own choice as I combined the final two days (the true long day was 62 miles). I took it very easy on the runs but it never felt all that easy as my glute was sore and my ankles took at least a mile to stop killing me. Oddly none of that felt bad on the bike.
