Wow, what a windy week this was. A bunch of mornings with temps under 20 and winds OVER 20! I definitely liked heading south on the rail trail as the winds were always north or northwest. I took advantage of the day off from work (President Carter’s funeral) to get in my longest run in quite a while. I ran (essentially) the “Cheap Marathon” course which is an out/back on the Windham and Derry rail trail. Hoping this is a good indicator for my run there in April. I managed 7:58 pace while coasting on the way back with a 20-30 mph tailwind. My knee was not happy with me after that and 4 inches of snow did not help with less than ideal footing. Hoping that the extra soreness resolves quickly and I can keep doing at least one (and hopefully 2) long runs a month.
