I was going to do a workout Wednesday but then decided I might do a 5k race on Sunday. I figured I could do a quick 3 at lunch in the absence of a real workout. Hoped to run under 730s. From .5 to 1.25 is a steady uphill, but I come back down that from 1.75 to 2.25 (hence the 3:18 split). I ended up running 21:24 and of course had to age grade that…it comes out to 5:42 pace. I think that sounds about right, a hard effort but not all out. Man, can you believe calling 7:08 pace a tempo run?!
